Children's ability to understand and reason about emotions can have implications for children's social well being. Candace's research focuses on how social input (e.g., informant testimony; Lapan, Boseovski, & Blincoe, 2016) and emotion understanding skills (e.g., theory of mind; Lapan & Boseovski, 2016) impact children's judgments of others. It is important to understand these processes in order to cultivate healthier perceptions of others during childhood.
